AI tax return review software for CPA firms

Your best reviewers are your biggest bottleneck.Give them a cleaner return.

The Reviewer Agent examines a prepared return and flags omissions, inconsistencies and audit risks, so your reviewer starts from a cleaner return.

Review is where senior time gets stuck

The most experienced people in the firm are frequently the bottleneck: returns queue up for human review. A first pass can catch issues before a return gets there. AccuMax puts an Agent in front of the human reviewer. Anomalies are corrected before the return reaches the person who signs off, so their time goes to judgment.

How a return is reviewed

  1. The return comes from either routePreparer Agent

The Preparer Agent drafts federal and state personal returns from the client record, or your team prepares in external tax software. The Bridge Agent moves approved data into that software, Drake today with more coming.

  2. The Reviewer Agent examines itReviewer Agent

It critically examines the prepared return and surfaces audit flags, omissions, inconsistencies and missed opportunities. It works on returns from the Preparer Agent or from external software.

  3. Anomalies are corrected first

The preparer fixes what was flagged, so the return reaches the human reviewer already checked.

  4. A person reviews and approves

A qualified reviewer examines the cleaner return and decides. Nothing is final until a person approves it.

  5. The approved return goes to the client

SmartSend sends the approved return for signature, with a payment request bundled in when you want one. When a payment is bundled, the client can download the completed documents only after paying.

Every Agent drafts and assists. A qualified member of your firm reviews the output and decides.

Questions firms ask

Does the Reviewer Agent approve or file returns?
No. It flags issues for your team to look at. A qualified member of your firm reviews the return and decides, and your firm stays responsible for it.
Can it review returns prepared in other software?
Yes. Returns prepared by external tax software, or by the Preparer Agent, can be reviewed by the Reviewer Agent so anomalies can be corrected before they reach a human reviewer.
Which tax prep software does the Bridge Agent work with?
Drake today. More are coming.
Does it replace the human reviewer?
No. It is a first pass, so the person reviewing starts from a return with fewer issues.
